Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. was founded in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. It was built on the design creativity of an ambitious machinist, Joseph Vodvarka, and the business acumen of his aspiring son, Joseph A. Vodvarka. The enterprising father-son partnership started in their home attic.
The company moved its operations, hired a few more employees, and settled into their first dedicated shop.
Linda Froehlich and Rich D. Froehlich purchased the business from Joseph A. Vodvarka, his daughter and son-in-law, respectively.
Ace Wire Spring & Form Co. relocated to a 30,000 square foot facility to meet the growing demand and need for expansion.
A major expansion was completed, adding 25,000 square feet to the building, further increasing the company’s capacity.
Linda Froehlich invents and patents the SuperClip, a significant innovation in the industry.
Linda Froehlich became the first female owner of Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., continuing the family legacy with her son as an engineer, daughter as a sales representative, and grandchildren involved in the business.
