Ace Wire Spring & Form Co. Owner Linda Froehlich Honored by Spring Manufacturers Institute for Outstanding Industry Service

Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. proudly announces that its Owner, Linda Froehlich, has been recognized with a distinguished service award by the Spring Manufacturers Institute (SMI) during the organization’s 2025 Annual Meeting, held in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Linda, a dynamic leader and passionate advocate for the spring manufacturing industry, concluded her second term on the SMI Board of Directors, where she served from 2019 to 2025. The award was presented in honor of her exemplary service, forward-thinking leadership, and unwavering dedication to advancing the industry and fostering professional growth.

“This is truly the most meaningful award I’ve ever received,” said Linda Froehlich. “When I started out, I was often the only woman in the room—but I never saw that as a challenge. I saw it as a great opportunity. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to gain incredible knowledge, build lasting friendships, and meet so many wonderful people in this industry.”

One of Linda’s most impactful contributions was her role as the founding chairman of the Women in Spring Manufacturing Committee, where she championed greater visibility, support, and leadership opportunities for women within the field.

“My dream is to one day see a woman serve as President of SMI—what a powerful sign that would be of how far we’ve come. I’m excited to see my son and grandson carry forward this same passion and dedication for manufacturing,” said Linda.

Her passion for inclusion in manufacturing stems from a lifetime of firsthand experience. Froehlich was raised in a family where women worked shoulder-to-shoulder with men in technical roles—her mother and grandmother supplied parts to Rockwell International while her father served as an airplane mechanic in World War II. Inspired by this strong foundation, Linda began working in the family business at just 14, later balancing her duties as a young wife and mother with the demands of a growing company.

Through her work with the Women in Spring Manufacturing Committee, Linda continues to lead efforts to mentor emerging female professionals, promote educational opportunities, and drive cultural change within the field. Her dedication has helped lay the groundwork for a more inclusive and dynamic future in spring manufacturing—one where talent and leadership know no gender.

“I know how much my grandmother has poured into the SMI over the years and how deeply she believes in its purpose,” said RJ Froehlich of Ace Wire Spring. “She told me this is her favorite award she’s ever received—and I believe it, because I’ve seen firsthand the passion and effort she’s put into the organization. This recognition truly reflects her legacy.”
